PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reasonable and wasteless method for the preconfirmation and evaluation of cyanide-contaminated soil capable of determining the possibility of its application at stages as early as possible and cutting a relevant cost while sufficiently obtaining necessary information in restoring in situ an underground region contaminated with cyanide compound(s) by making use of indigenous microorganisms, and to provide a method for the in-situ restoration of such a region.;SOLUTION: The method for the preconfirmation and evaluation of cyanide-contaminated soil by a flask-level evaluation stage for the possibility of restoring the soil by making use of indigenous microorganisms comprises the 1st step of confirming the presence/absence of bioactivity inhibitory factors to the indigenous microorganisms having cyanide decomposition activity, the 2nd step of confirming whether or not cyanide decomposition activity can be promoted by the indigenous microorganisms, the 3rd step of searching optimum conditions for the cyanide decomposition activity promotion, and the 4th step of analyzing byproducts resulted from the decomposition and confirming the safety of the byproducts to the environment.
