PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a communication quality and the number of accommodated users (mobile stations) at a high speed when designing a CDMA (code division multiple access) base station wherein adaptive antenna array techniques are applied to a down line.;SOLUTION: On the basis of an inputted element horizontal parameter (a), an array element horizontal pattern Gs(y) is calculated and on the basis of the array element horizontal pattern and an array parameter (c), an adaptive antenna array antenna pattern Ga(x, y) is calculated. On the basis of an element vertical parameter (d), an array element vertical pattern Gvs(z) is calculated and on the basis of the array element vertical pattern, a propagation loss parameter (g) and a cell location parameter (i), a propagation loss L(r) and a geometry g-1(r) are calculated. On the basis of the array element horizontal pattern, the antenna array antenna pattern, the propagation loss, the geometry, a system parameter (f) and the cell location parameter, a product SIR×C of the number of accommodated mobile stations (users) and the communication quality of the mobile stations is calculated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
