PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately specify the position of a golf player in each hole in a golf course, and by extension to accurately calculate a hitting distance.;SOLUTION: A CPU 15 in a golf player position measuring apparatus 10 calculates a traveling direction from a tee ground base point and a traveling distance by gyro sensors 12a-12c and acceleration sensors 13a-13c, respectively, thus specifying the current position of the golf player. Further, the CPU 15 calculates the distance from the current position to the tee ground base point position, namely the hitting distance based on information regarding the position relationship between the tee ground base point position stored in a RAM 11 and the pin position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
