PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sample a liquid sample contained in a small-diameter container by a simple stirring mechanism and to surely and thoroughly stir the liquid sample. PSOLUTION: The sampling device 1 includes: a suction nozzle 2; an elevating mechanism 3 for elevating the suction nozzle 2; a connecting tube 4, one end of which is connected to the upper end part of the suction nozzle 2; a suction pump 5 connected to the other end of the connecting tube 4; and a sample receiving part 6 interposed in the connecting tube 4. The sampling device 1 samples a liquid sample 8 in a comparatively small-diameter sample container 7. A stirring blade 9 is concentrically or coaxially provided a little above a suction port 2a of the suction nozzle 2. During the sampling, when the suction nozzle 2 elevates and lowers, the stirring blade 9 generates connection in the liquid sample 8 in the sample container 7, effectively stirring the liquid sample 8.
