PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain deterioration in utilization efficiency of electric power supplied from an AC power supply which is caused by connection of an uninterruptible power supply to a power supplying path between a switching power supply and the AC power supply. PSOLUTION: By stopping switching operation performed by a power factor improvement circuit 51 connected between a power input terminal 15 of the switching power supply 2 and a DC/DC conversion circuit 52, or by bypassing the power factor improvement circuit 51, a power input from the power input terminal 15 is converted to power of a prescribed voltage by using the DC/DC conversion circuit 52.
