PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic woven fabric-reinforced resin substrate having a higher volume content of the inorganic woven fabric while keeping the thickness dimension low, an inorganic woven fabric constituting the same and a method for opening the inorganic woven fabric.;SOLUTION: In the glass woven fabric 16, the wefts 20 and warps 22 are unfastened to an extent that the projection area ratio is remarkably increased as high as at least 0.9 by an opening treatment and therefore the gap between wefts 20 and warps 22 is very small. Moreover, the thickness dimension is reduced by unfastening to an extent corresponding to the extension of the wefts 20 and warps 22 in the surface direction of the glass woven fabric 16. Thereby, the amount of a resin penetrating into between the wefts 20 and warps 22 gets smaller and the thickness dimension of the glass woven fabric 16 itself gets smaller compared with those in the case that the opening treatment is not carried out.
