PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems such that, in each of plants, an amount of feeding water is different, and sometimes the plant is withered when one takes a long term business trip or travel in the case of the plants requiring a large amount of water, also in the case of purchasing pot-planted flowers or other plants in a horticultural shop, since soil is put in the pots, conveying them requires a labor and also the plants may be withered by supplying only water, and to provide a method and a device for utilizing a pad for aiming at the maintenance and recovery of the health state of plants, vegetables, animals and humans by using water or by using a solution obtained by dissolving a fertilizer, a nutritent, a medicine, or the like, in water. PSOLUTION: The pad utilizes a diaper usually used for a baby or bedridden old person in considering its water absorptivity or ventilating property, and as its component, mainly cotton is used, but in some cases, a film produced from a synthetic resin is used. The method for maintaining the plant for a long period without withering is provided by planting the plant on the pad and supplying water and the nutrient for the growth of the plant.
