PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclone type vacuum cleaner without a running cost and without a decline in performance such as dust suction power.;SOLUTION: The cyclone type vacuum cleaner is provided with an auxiliary dust catching device 20 arranged on the downstream side from a cyclone dust collecting device and on the upstream side from a blower in a suction route. The auxiliary dust catching device 20 is constituted so as to be freely detachably attached to a cleaner body 10 and is provided with a hollow box-shaped casing composed of a front cover 21 and a rear cover 22 and a filter 26 fitted to the hollow part of the rear cover 22. The main surface of the filter 26 is arranged so as to cross the advancing direction of intake air sucked by the blower, a gap positioned between the end face of the filter 26 and the rear cover 22 is fixed over the entire periphery by an adhesive material 31 and a sealant 32 is interposed in the gap positioned between the front cover 21 and the rear cover 22.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
