PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry/wet vacuum cleaner with improved convenience and performance. PSOLUTION: This dry/wet vacuum cleaner 10 has a canister 14, a drive head assembly 12 equipped with a fan 44, and a shutdown device. When a volume of liquid in the canister 14 comes over a prescribed volume, the shutdown device prevents the fan 44 from sucking the liquid through a fan inlet. The drive head assembly 12 includes a controller to enable a desired drive mode and a user can use an AC power source or a DC power source such as a battery pack 28 which is interchangeable with a battery pack for various kinds of cordless tools including a drill/driver, and a saw.
