PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing equipment for making garbage resource and a method of making garbage resource, in which the efficiency is improved in drying the garbage by removing moisture by heat, and generation of malodor can be reduced. PSOLUTION: This equipment includes a container 1 for garbage A, a container 2 for grain B or starch, and further a container 2 for a far infrared rays emitting substance C in powder or granular form, a mixer 7 connected to the containers 1 and 2, and a drying equipment 12 which is connected to the mixer 7, and provided with a gas burner 15 for drying a mixture D mixed by the mixer 7. The mixture D is produced by mixing the crushed garbage A, the grain B or starch, and the far infrared rays emitting substance C, followed by drying the mixture. Malodorous components of the garbage A can be blocked by the substance C, the grain B or starch. The mixture D is heated from inside by the substance C and dried.
