PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoding method in novel statistical machine translation which generates an output sentence by constructing phrases by joining output words, joining output words and phrases and joining phrases. PSOLUTION: The decoding method in the statistical machine translation is provided with a step of generating an output word corresponding to each input word composing an input sentence, and a step of generating a phrase by joining the output words and constructing a phrase by joining the output words and phrases and joining phrases.
