PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a pottery, in which a combination of diatomaceous earth and clay is used, and the lightweight property, the absorption property and the heat-shielding property being outstanding properties of the diatomaceous earth are utilized.;SOLUTION: The strength of the pottery is enhanced by firing soil obtained by mixing diatomaceous earth and clay or by applying a clay liquid onto the surface of a formed body obtained by forming diatomaceous earth so as to form a clay layer, and firing. A diatomaceous earth plate, a clay plate and a mixed soil plate are prepared, and a combination product is obtained by firing according to the purpose of use.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
