PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the change of internal schemers to be used for expressing semi-structured document data from affecting a user terminal side.;SOLUTION: Databases DB1 to DB5 are respectively provided with internal schemers IS1 to IS5, and the user interfaces of user terminals 2-1 to 2-5 are respectively constituted of public schemers Pb1 to Pb5. A correspondence rule deciding part 10 decides a correspondence rule on the basis of relations between the individual public schemers Pb1 to Pb5 and the individual internal schemers IS1 to IS5. Queries issued from the individual user terminals 2 and retrieval results outputted from the data bases DB are translated by a translating part 1A on the basis of the correspondence rule.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
