PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-resistant polymer optical fiber which has a protection covering having an excellent adhesive strength to fiber clad and has a uniform thickness. PSOLUTION: The optical cable has a fiber core (1) and a fiber clad (2) and additionally has an inner external layer (3) which is stuck to the fiber clad and is made of a molding material containing polyamide and has a zero-share viscosity in a range of 400 to 6,000 Pas when measured at 220C and an outer external layer (4) which is stuck with 30N tension and is made of a polyamide molding material containing 20 to 95 mass % polyamide, 5 to 45 mass % flame retardant, and 0 to 60 mass % impact resistance reinforcing agent.
