PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a microwave phase_shifter having a little interference with proximity circuits and a little insertion loss.;SOLUTION: A conductor 3 for signal is formed on a dielectric substrate 2 consisted of liquid crystal as a material. Auxiliary ground conductors 4a, 4b, 4c, and 4d are formed by sandwiching the conductor 3 for a signal. Further, a micro-strip transmission line 1 with an inverted structure and a suspended structure is composed by forming conductors 5a, 5b, 6a, and 6b for grounding so as to surround the dielectric substrate 2. And, the phase-shift amount is controlled by changing a dielectric constant of the dielectric substrate 2 by changing a bias voltage 7 to be impressed to the dielectric substrate 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
