PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal recording/analyzing system capable of carrying out efficient signal analysis by automatically identifying the type of a measurement signal recorded in each track of a magnetic tape, and automatically setting an analysis process and analysis process conditions necessary for the measurement signal.;SOLUTION: When recording measurement signal on the magnetic tape 30 with a signal recorder 10, identification information comprising the type of the measurement signal to be recorded and its measurement conditions is generated by an identification information generating part 12, it is added to the beginning of the measurement signal by an identification information inserting part 13, and the measurement signal is recorded on the magnetic tape 30 by a signal recording part 15. When carrying out analysis by the signal analyzer 20, the type of the measurement signal is automatically identified from the recorded identification information by an identification information determining part 24, and the necessary analysis process is automatically selected by an analysis process selecting part 25. Moreover, the analysis process conditions are edited on the basis of the measurement conditions in the identification information by the identification information determining part 24 and they are set with respect to the corresponding analysis process of a signal analysis process executing part 26.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
