PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser ionizing mass analyzing method capable of analyzing an organic compound being a target substance contained in a sample with high sensitivity.;SOLUTION: The laser ionizing mass analyzing method includes a process for setting a wavelength for showing an absorption peak to the initial wavelength λ_1i of a first laser beam by measuring the absorbancy of the sample and setting the wavelength of light having energy sufficient to ionize an excited target substance to the initial wavelength λ_2i of a second laser beam, a process for irradiating the sample with the first and second laser beams so as to fix the wavelength λ_2i of the second laser beam and change the wavelength of the first laser beam with the wavelength λ_1i as reference to perform the mass analysis of the target substance and determining the optimum wavelength λ₁ of the first laser beam, and a process for irradiating the sample with the first and second laser beams so as to fix the wavelength λ₁ of the first laser beam and change the wavelength of the second laser beam with the wavelength λ_2i as reference to perform the mass analysis of the target substance and determining the optimum wavelength λ₂ of the second laser beam.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
