COMBINATION OF CRP WITH D-DIMER FOR IN VITRO DIAGNOSIS OF DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in vitro diagnostic method for a patient with possible deep vein thrombosis. PSOLUTION: The tests of a patient sample for D-dimer and CRP are combined, whereby both the sensitivity of DVT diagnosis and a negative prediction value are increased to 100%. The combination of D-dimer with CRP enables the evaluation of the patient only with a biochemical marker to eliminate the necessity of ultrasonic examination and additive examination as much as possible.
