PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having low fog and high maximum density (a method for preparing a silver aliphatic-carboxylate emulsion, a silver aliphatic-carboxylate emulsion), an image recording method, and an image forming method.;SOLUTION: In the method for preparing a silver aliphatic-carboxylate emulsion in which a solution of an alkali metal salt of an aliphatic carboxylic acid is reacted with a silver ion solution in the presence of photosensitive silver halide grains to form silver aliphatic-carboxylate grains, a reaction field temperature at the time of adding the photosensitive silver halide grains is 45-65°C and a reaction field temperature at the time of adding the silver ion solution is 30-53°C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
