PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partial scratch removing apparatus enabling uniform cut depth in peripheral direction of a wire material in accordance with a diameter or required quality of the wire material and facilitating easy adjustment of the cut depth, and also to provide a method for removing the partial scratch used for the same.;SOLUTION: The partial scratch removing apparatus for the wire material has a body flame 2 with a through hole 3 for passing the wire material, a reclining plate 6 slantingly held on the front side of the body flame 2 and attached with a ring-shaped cutting blade 19 at its center, and three or more hydraulic cylinders 9a arranged on the rear side of the reclining plate 6 at the same intervals in the peripheral direction. At least one hydraulic cylinder is extruded to tilt the reclining plate 6 and abut on a stopper 15 movable/fixable in the shaft direction in correspondence to the hydraulic cylinder. The partial scratch removing apparatus 1 is formed to cut off surface scratches per a scratch inspection area to equally divide a cross section of the wire material in the peripheral direction. Two partial scratch removing apparatuses with the hydraulic cylinders 9a mutually shifted in the peripheral direction are arranged in series.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
