RAID (REDUNDANT ARRAY OF INEXPENSIVE DISKS) DISK READ ERROR PROCESSING SYSTEM, METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a RAID disk read error processing system which notifies whether data in an address where a read error is detected in input side disk in recovery source during a rebuild process is a valid file after the recovery or not, to provide its method and program. PSOLUTION: A rebuild process performs rebuild processing in RAID control and invokes a read error detection process when the read error is detected while performing the rebuid. In the read error detection process, an address of a hard disk in which the read error is detected is stored. In a file search process, a file management method in a partition is identified based on partition area information in the hard disk, and all file names and use areas validated based on the file management method are stored. A determination process distinguishes whether the data in the address where a read error has occurred is in a valid file or not by comparing the address detected by the read error detection process and the result of the file search process following the RAID ontrol method.
