PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiwindow management method capable of preparing display data in a short time and reducing memory consumption.;SOLUTION: Plotting data are stored in a corresponding buffer when a window relating to display change is a transmissive window and the plotting data are stored in a full screen buffer when it is a non-transmissive window (S100-S102). Then, the buffer for the synthesis of a size equivalent to an updating area is secured (S103 and S104) and the plotting data are copied (S105). When there is the transmissive window, the overlap part of a clip area and the updating area is synthesized in order starting at the most background transmissive window (S106-S111). When it is' No' in S106 or S100, synthesized data are copied to a video memory and displayed on a screen (S112) and the buffer for the synthesis is released (S113).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
