PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop new type lateral tubes for preventing accidents during medical treatments or other troubles that may be caused by careless operation of a three-way cock.;SOLUTION: The lateral branch tubes are used for medical treatments of humans or animals and are characterized in that first and second straight tubes are arranged along a straight line, and one or more lateral branch tubes cross the first and second straight tubes at junctions to communicate with them and other lateral branch tubes, and that a check valve is provided within at least one lateral branch tube so that a liquid or gas flowing toward the junction from a free end of the lateral branch tube may pass through the check valve, but a liquid or gas directing reversely may be blocked by the valve.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
