PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a termite exterminating member especially useful for exterminating populations of the terminates and a method for exterminating the termites using the same, in relation to termite exterminating members and methods for exterminating the terminates.;SOLUTION: The termite exterminating member is characterized in that at least a part of an oral poison containing a chemical for controlling the termites is encapsulated within a moistureproof film which can be broken or invaded by the termites. The termite exterminating member in which the oral poison can be preserved from humidity or steam over a medium or a long period can be provided without inhibiting eating damages by the termites. The termite exterminating member useful for monitoring and exterminating the termites and remarkably reducing human operation related to the monitoring and exterminating of the termites with a small load on the natural environment can be provided.
