PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vermin monitoring and exterminating apparatus especially useful for the extermination of a company of vermin, especially termite and provide a method for the monitoring and extermination of vermin using the apparatus.;SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a vermin monitoring and exterminating body having a bottom-closed nearly cylindrical form and to be embedded in the ground and a lid member detachably attached to the upper part of the exterminating apparatus body. The exterminating body is provided with a lower bait-holding part at the lower part of the body to hold the bait for the vermin and an upper exterminating member holding part placed above the lower bait-holding part and holding a vermin exterminating member containing a food poison for the extermination of the vermin. The lower bait holding part has a 1st opening on the circumferential wall to form the passage of the vermin. The upper exterminating member holding part has a 2nd opening on the side circumferential wall to form a passage of the vermin. A nearly ring-shaped collar member for forming a vermin attracting and guiding path, facilitating the construction of the vermin path and preventing the slip out of the exterminating body from the ground is protruded outward on the circumference of the 1st opening.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
