PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming an insulation film of a grain-oriented silicon steel sheet by which a space factor and resistance to sticking of steel sheets to each other during stress-relieving annealing can be improved.;SOLUTION: Inorganic mineral particles having 2 to 20μm average particle size and having no electric charge are incorporated into a coating solution for insulation film formation in an amount of 0.02 to 20 mass% at the ratio of solid content in the coating solution.
