PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll paper charging mechanism of a printer capable of easily taking out a residual core of a paper roll with a simple constitution.;SOLUTION: A roll paper charging part 22 of a roll paper charging mechanism 2 of a printer is provided with an opening formed above to charge a roll paper 4, and a discharge port 51 formed in a bottom part to discharge a residual core 41 of the roll paper 4. The opening is openable/closable by a lid frame 23, and the discharge port 51 is openable/closable by a bottom plate 52. An interlocking mechanism 54 to open/close the bottom plate 52 interlockingly with the opening/closing operation of the lid frame 23 is provided between the lid frame 23 and the bottom plate 52. The interlocking mechanism 54 is of simple structure comprising drive levers 53a, 53b of the lid frame 23, and an engagement lever 52c of the bottom plate 52.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
