METHOD FOR PREVENTING CORROSION OF CONTINUOUS COAL TAR DISTILLATION APPARATUS AND DISTILLATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing corrosion of a continuous coal tar distillation apparatus by chlorine and recovering pitch having low chlorine (sodium chloride) concentration without requiring much energy and to provide a distillation apparatus therefor.;SOLUTION: The method for preventing corrosion of continuous coal tar distillation apparatus comprises feeding a basic sodium compound 14 to a distilling-off step or a higher step of at least one distillate in the continuous coal tar distillation apparatus to continuously distill coal tar 7, recovering a distillate having a low chlorine concentration and converting chlorine to sodium chloride and recovering pitch 12 having a low sodium chloride concentration to the bottom of the apparatus. The distillation apparatus is equipped with a feed step of sodium hydrogen carbonate and an extracting step of sodium chloride.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
