PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object angular speed measuring device and an object angular speed measuring method capable of measuring the object angular speed highly accurately and strongly.;SOLUTION: The number of times when an object is extracted in each pixel of an image frame having an emphasized contrast by binarization processing is counted, and an aggregation of the pixels wherein the object is detected in at least M (MN) times in the frames to the number of N continuing from the present frame to the past is extracted as an object region. A position coordinate of the center of gravity of the extracted object region is calculated, and the object angular speed is calculated from the moving quantity between the frames of the position coordinate of the center of gravity. When the object region corresponding to the same object is separated into a plurality of segments, the position coordinate of the center of gravity of the object region comprising the separated segments is calculated by determining the weighted mean of the position coordinate of the center of gravity of each segment by using a segment area as the weight.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
