PREVENTIVE/THERAPEUTIC AGENT FOR DIARRHEA OF LIVESTOCK, AND METHOD FOR PROPHYLAXIS/TREATMENT OF DIARRHEA OF LIVESTOCK

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a preventive/therapeutic agent for diarrhea of livestock and a method for prophylaxis/treatment of diarrhea of livestock, where the agent is given through oral administration to livestock such as cattles or pigs to prevent diarrhea so as to take early effect in the treatment even when suffering from diarrhea, result in preventing physical consumption of the cattle, and be applicable to young pigs or calves with insufficient physical strength without anxiety. PSOLUTION: The preventive/therapeutic agent for diarrhea of livestock contains at least one kind of Lythrum salicaria L, Tanacetum vulgare L and Filipendula ulmaria as active ingredient. Banana powder and/or carob powder are/is preferably used as a base material. The method for prophylaxis/treatment of diarrhea of livestock comprises feeding livestock with feed containing 0.001-0.500 wt.% of each of the above three kinds of herbs based on 1 kg of feed in terms of bulk powder.
