PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing the subject compound and preparing a salt itself as the 2nd subject intermediate. ;SOLUTION: This method comprises a removing means for 8-benzyl- nortropan-3-one perchlorate by catalytically activated hydrogen through two- stage treatment; wherein the starting material is first prehydrogenated by a palladium catalyst in an aqueous emulsion at the atmospheric pressure and room temperature, and at the end of the reaction, the catalyst is recovered through filtration, the resulting filtrate is issued through an anion exchanger, and then the resultant alkaline reaction solution is agitated with hydrogen activated by a Raney nickel at 1,000-1,500 rpm at the atmospheric pressure and room temperature.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
