CULTURE MEDIUM FOR RAISING PLANT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture medium for readily carrying out setting of a plant in the ground and a method for easily preparing the culture medium. PSOLUTION: The culture medium is obtained by pressure molding a fibrous water absorbing material 3 with forming molds 6 and 9, providing semispherical divided bodies 1A and 1B, combining the divided bodies 1A and 1B, forming a hollow spherical culture medium body 1 having a planting hole 4 opened in a part thereof, then winding a wiry material 2 around the outer periphery of the culture medium body 1 and coupling the divided bodies 1A and 1B. In the resultant culture medium, the culture medium body 1 can be integrated with a root part 14 of the plant simply by inserting the root part 14 of the plant from the planting hole 4 into the culture medium body 1 and then immersing the culture medium body 1 in water.
