PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle compact deodorization apparatus and a method for decomposing odored gas without affected by the moisture content of the gas. PSOLUTION: The odored gas with steam discharged from a sewage sludge drying facility is introduced into an electron beam deodorization apparatus where surplus power of a generator for driving the drying facility is used as a power source and deodorized by electron beam irradiation. Ozone which is contained in the exhaust gas from the deodorization apparatus as a by-product produced by the electron beam irradiation is removed by activated carbon decomposition or thermal decomposition and discharged as safe exhaust gas.
