METHOD FOR INSPECTING INCLUSION IN STEEL BY ULTRASONIC FLAW DETECTION

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately and rapidly detecting a nonmetallic inclusions existing in steel, especially at the central section of steel by using an ultrasonic flaw detection method. PSOLUTION: The method for inspecting inclusions in steel by ultrasonic flaw detection comprises a first step for rolling and/or cogging steel to be evaluated; a second step for taking out a test piece from the steel to be evaluated being rolled and/or cogged in the first step; and a third step for inspecting the inclusions existing in the test piece by soaked ultrasonic flaw detection, thus rolling and/or cogging the steel to be evaluated by a cogging ratio of 40 or more in the first step.
