PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic pulse absorber connected to an intermediate region of a main pipe for passing a pulsated pressure liquid, absorbing pressure pulses and measuring a damped state of the pressure pulses, and to provide a damping constant measuring apparatus and a damping constant measuring method for the hydraulic pulse absorber.;SOLUTION: The damping constant measuring apparatus 1 of the hydraulic pulse absorber is provided with a side branch 3 connected to the intermediate region of the main pipe 2 for passing the pulsated pressure liquid, a pulse absorption material 4 mounted in the vicinity of an end in the side branch 3, a pressure detection means for detecting pressure of the liquid in the side branch 3 and a calculation means for calculating a pulse absorption factor of the pulse absorption material based on the pressure detected by the pressure detection means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
