PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a modulation transfer function of a lens under inspection, or to measure the modulation transfer function even in a bright room under an ordinary-temperature environment, based on a simple adjustment or a point image of the lens under inspection.;SOLUTION: An image formed by the lens 1 is imaged by a two-dimensional imaging member 3, displayed on a monitor and adjusted, and an MTF value is operated based on a two-dimensional intensity distribution after adjustment. The point image of the lens 1 is magnified to double or larger and imaged by the two-dimensional imaging member 3, and the MTF value is operated based on the two-dimensional intensity distribution. The MTF value is operated based on the intensity distribution determined by subtracting the two-dimensional intensity distribution not including light of a lamp 5 from the two-dimensional intensity distribution including the light of the lamp 5.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
