PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cleavage technology by which high throughput cleavage between a carrier and a peptide is safely and simply carried out in a peptide synthesis with extremely reduced influence on other protective groups.;SOLUTION: The carrier for a liquid-phase peptide synthesis, which contains at least one aromatic hydrocarbon ring having two hydroxy groups to become a quinoid structure by oxidation, is bonded to an amino acid by one hydroxy group as a functional group to be bonded to the amino acid and in which the combination with the amino acid, having the quinoid structure by the oxidation is cleft is used.
