PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium managing apparatus which can reproduce contents divided and recorded onto a plurality of removable recording media without trouble. PSOLUTION: The recording medium managing apparatus is provided with a dividing unit 63e dividing contents into a plurality of divided contents, an integral information generating unit 63c integrating all divided contents and generating, for each divided contents, contents managing information including information for reconstructing original contents and information for utilizing each divided contents individually, a contents writing unit 63d distributing and writing each group of each divided contents and contents managing information corresponding to respective divided contents to a plurality of recording media, and a table editing unit 61 judging whether each divided content is utilized individually or not based on the contents managing information.
