PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of poor yield in post processing by the generation of variation in the length of a secondarily worked tube after drawing even when a product tube has constant length in the manufacturing line of an electric resistance welded tube for manufacturing the product tube by bending and forming into a cylindrical shape by gradually bending a strip-shaped material which is continuously fed, forming the electric resistance welded tube by welding the joint of the material butted into the cylindrical shape and cutting the electric resistance welded tube to prescribed length.;SOLUTION: The thickness of the material 11 is measured with a thickness measuring unit 7 before the strip-shaped material 11 is bent with roll forming machines 2, or during bending, this measured value is outputted onto the master controller 9, cutting length is beforehand calculated on the basis of the measured value so that the weight of a product tube 11A is constant and an original tube 11C is cut on the basis of cutting length by operating a flying cutting machine 6 on the basis of the cutting length.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
