COLOR CHIP CHART SET, IMAGE ANALYSIS METHOD, METHOD FOR MEASURING/EVALUATING PERFORMANCE OF WHITE BALANCE, AND IMAGE PROCESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To very easily, quantitatively, objectively, strictly and with high accuracy measure and evaluate the performance of white balance, without performing field test outdoors.;SOLUTION: A general image is classified into eight kinds.A typical image is selected for each classification. A chart is prepared by abstracting the selected original image. The abstracted chart is provided with a plurality of color chip patches of the geometrical shapes and is also provided with a patch of a reference chromaticity point of 18% neutral gray near the central portion. An evaluation index is calculated from the colorimetric data of the patch of reference chromaticity point in the image data obtained, by photographing the abstracted chart with an imaging device of an object to be evaluated of white balance performance.
