PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate repair by enabling a person in charge at a repair reception window to immediately and exactly determine a state of a portable telephone set carried to the window without using a special external device.;SOLUTION: The person in charge at the repair reception window turns on the power of the portable telephone set. The person in charge inputs a password for maintenance which is not opened to its user to an operating part of the portable telephone set. Next, the person in charge performs an operation that requests maintenance information display.
