PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring method, using a portable radio communication device with a camera by which remote monitoring can be achieved at low cost.;SOLUTION: The portable telephone MS1 with the camera extracts a telephone number of a call origination from among signals transmitted from the portable telephone MS2 and it discriminates whether the telephone number is registered (S5). If it is registered, the portable telephone MS1 with the camera executes image photographing with a camera part (S6) and stores the image (S7). Also, the portable telephone MS1 with the camera extracts DTMF tone information from among the signals transmitted from the portable telephone MS2, and it discriminates whether the DTMF tone information is registered (S8). If it is registered, the portable telephone MS1 with the camera transmits the stored image to the portable telephone MS2 (S10, S11).
