PURPOSE: To produce a low-cost low-water-content coal/water paste(CWP) which can be stably fed to a combustion furnace at a low power requirement of impeller. ;CONSTITUTION: This mixture is obtained by mixing coal with water under agitation so that the coal may have a particle size distribution in which particles of a diameter of 0.02mm or below are 10-20wt.%, particles of a diameter of 1mm or above are 50-70wt.% and particles of a diameter of 0.02-1mm of 10-40wt.% each based on the total weight of coal. It can be produced by mixing under agitation the group of coarse coal particles having a weight-mean particle diameter in the range of 1.0-2.0mm and the group of fine coal particles having a weight-mean particle diameter in the range of 0.03-0.07mm with water.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
