PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for melange-toned dyeing of fabrics, designed to impart a wool fabric with melange-toned color, capable of dyeing such wool fabrics efficiently at lower temperatures, also enabling continuous dyeing operation. SOLUTION: This method for melange-toned dyeing of fabrics is made up of the following three consecutive processes: 1st process: a wool fabric is immersed in a cationic resin solution for pretreatment; 2nd process: the pretreated fabric is immersed in an anionic die solution and dyed; and 3rd process: the dyed fabric is washed with water and deprived of the dye attached to the fabric. The treatments in the 1st and 2nd processes are conducted at relatively low temperatures of about 20 deg.C, respectively.
