PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying liq. crystal microcapsules whereby the concn. of impurities, such as ions, in the microcapsules can be efficiently reduced and to provide an apparatus therefor. ;SOLUTION: A water-base dispersion of liq. crystal microcapsules is introduced into the first chamber, and deionized water is introduced into the second chamber. The two chambers are in contact with each other and partitioned with a porous film 12 permeable to the impurities in the microcapsules. A flow is caused between the water-base dispersion in the first chamber and the deionized water in the second chamber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
