PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform voice synthesis which is natural and easily listened to by improving accuracy of reading and metrical information. SOLUTION: A word dictionary to authorize a word by the length in morpheme analysis S1 and to generate no degradation in impartation S2 of reading and meter is held and utilized based on the Miyazaki system. Rules of impartation of an accent like connection of accent phrases between segmentations, etc., are added in impartation S3 of the accent. A multi-stage setting method to stepwise impart a pause is introduced in impartation S4 of the pause.
