PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive temper-rolling mill and a temper-rolling method capable of eliminating difference of relative roughness of vertical rolls leading to a bow in the width direction and an uneven brightness of a steel strip by providing the minimum equipment. SOLUTION: The mill and method for temper-rolling to prevent a width bow and the uneven brightness of the steel strip are characterized in that, in the temper-rolling mill to cold-roll again the steel strip cold-rolled and annealed, a chock portion of a reinforced roll next to a working roll to roll the steel strip is rammed to a housing, by which a means to prevent a cross angle between the working roll and the reinforced roll is obtained.
