PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of rejection of personal identification even when a low S/N camera is used for personal identification based on an iris image.;SOLUTION: From a plurality of images, iris areas are cut out respectively (2a, 2b), and after polar coordinate conversion (3a, 3b) and band restriction (4a, 4b) are carried out, iris codes are formed (5a, 5b).
