PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nondestructive diagnostic method for a concrete pole in which a very small crack or an underground crack which is hard to visually confirm can be detected early, simply and quickly.;SOLUTION: A striking point (2) which is set on the surface in the intermediate part of the concrete pole (1) being used is struck, elastic waves are propagated at the inside of the concrete pole (1), reflected waves generated at the inside of the concrete pole (1) are received by a receiving sensor (6) installed near the striking point, and the position of a damage position (3) in the concrete pole (1), the length of the concrete pole (1) and the setting depth length of the concrete pole (1) are estimated on the basis of the waveform of a received high-frequency band component.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
