PPPoE BUILT-IN ROUTER AND ITS GLOBAL IP ADDRESS ASSIGNING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PPPoE built-in router for enabling a plurality of online games to be simultaneously activated via the Internet in respective terminals disposed, in a LAN by using the same global IP address.;SOLUTION: The PPPoE built-in router 101 for connecting a plurality of terminals 103, 104, 105 to the Internet 106 comprises a port number converting unit 108 and a PPPoE control unit 107. The port number converting unit 108 is designed to store a cession ID to be assigned to one of the terminals which establishes a cession, a port number of application; and a port number converted at the transmission of an IP packet from the PPPoE built-in router to the Internet; the PPPoE control unit 107 is designed to transmit the IP packet to the Internet from the PPPoE built-in router after assigning a common global IP address to the terminal, to convert the port number of received IP packet received by the PPPoE built-in router from the Internet to the port number of the application after searching the port converting unit, to discriminate the terminal, after restoring the corresponding cession ID, and to transmit the received IP packet to the identified terminal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
